There's no contest here - this game was clearly designed with the PS2 controller in mind.
You also can't change the camera view on the fly like in the PS2 and Xbox versions, meaning you're stuck in the behind-the-car view for the entire game. The large number of functions in the game coupled with the limited number of buttons on the GameCube controller means you'll have to use button combos to toggle your defensive and offensive weapons, and playing finger Twister while you're in the middle of a high-intensity car battle is an unwelcome chore. On the absolutely miserable end of the scale lies the GameCube, which are just plain horrible. And you better get used to the default control scheme, as there's no choice to change it like on the PS2. However, it can be a pain in the ass to find those tiny little buttons when you're getting tapped by a bad guy in a Rolls. The Xbox control setup isn't so bad, and with the exception of the secondary weapon fire and selection mapped to the black and white button respectively, everything functions pretty much like the PS2 version. Unfortunately the same controls don't carry over to the other versions.

Plus if you don't like the default settings you can choose from one of three alternate control schemes on the PS2.
Everything is easy to reach and find on the PS2 controller, and it's all pretty intuitive (X for gas, square for brake, triggers for firing your weapons, and so on). With its numerous buttons, all of these functions are easily mapped on the PS2 dual shock. You also have access to primary (guns, rockets, etc.) and secondary (oil slick, smoke, etc.) weapons, lock-on, a rear view mirror, a GPS tracker, and the ability to change the camera angle - at least in the PS2 and Xbox versions. YES NO Control Since SpyHunter is a driving game (whether it be car, powerboat, or motorcycle), the basic controls include gas, brake, and steering.
But since Point of View ported translations to both the Xbox and Cube last month, we decided to run all three games through the gauntlet that is "Head-to-Head" and see which version is the best. The remake, developed by Paradigm Entertainment, first appeared on the PS2 back in October of last year. Now the classic returns with a 3D update.and an inter-capped name. I pumped more quarters into that machine than the vibrating bed at the Motel 6 around the corner (don't ask).
